Oh shite. The Saw's breaks are on the fritz so we had to put off getting that furniture for a couple weeks (next week the crew's coming into town). Oh well, I guess everyone will just have to marvel at the new furniture another time.

I've got a band of Mexicans cutting back my trees. If only I knew some Spanish I could have them take that crappy firewood from my back yard, too.

The Saw's going to take me to Brenham to get that furniture. Steak dinner's are best to bribe people with, btw.

Well, I've taken advantage of the sale on Bud Light at H.E.B. and now have 18 18 packs to savor. I saved over $175 on beer. What a bargain!
From 40 work emails to 340 since Friday. That's ridiculous.
I took my first shower in four days. For some reason, I still feel dirty.

I'm about 60% done with the bathroom. I started working on it at 9:45 pm. That's not the best time to start anything.
With all my CD's back in my immediate possession, everything that is old is new again. I'm listening to Talk Show's debut album right now.

Seerwah and I went for an hour ride that turned into two each way. He and the misses bought a piece of furniture on the way back from Houston last weekend. Apparently they were closer to Houston that I was led to believe, but to make matters worse I bought two big pieces myself. Hmmm, what to do? I have no idea when I'll be able to get this shit picked up and back to my place. I may be screwed.

Drove out of my house and my neighbor's got a "for sale" sign out. I expected people to leave after a couple months, not weeks.
Seerwah's coming over and we're going to mud my bathroom. I have no real clue what that means, but I hope that puts me closer to taking a shower in my bathroom.

It can't be a good thing to have a sunburn from Saturday still hurt four days later is it?

The Lakers suck so badly they should disband the team.

I pulled the first dead critter out of my pool. I think it was a frog. A super-duper bloated frog. Nasty...
Coming into the office at 5:30 am does have its advantages: my work email account is now down to 219 items.
Well, I dropped by brother off at the airport so I'm finally alone in the house. Sort of sorry to see him go. Lots of stuff done, but still more to do. Which means there's a lot of stuff to put off.

I should have left well enough alone, but I got too greedy. I picked out a couple of nice colors for my bedroom and they looked great once applied. Unfortunately I decided to add another color to the mix for the trim. To adverse affect.

I worked in the backyard and took a swim. The water's now crystal clear.
While working in the yard, my brother painted my room. Not totally done yet, but it looks real nice.

Oh, new furniture is in the house!
It's rained like a mofo here the past couple of days, but the river in my driveway and street is gone. Tax dollars at work.
Today's a big day as my new couch shows up. Later picking up a futon, so I'll almost have enough stuff for five people to sit on.

Did I mention Pistons in six? Maybe that's too much, but I won't count any eggs before they hatch.

I took the advice of one of my coworkers and dumped the D-link 102.11g router. I am now sitting by the pool connected with my vpn and totally wireless. Getting about 18 MBPS right now, so I can't complain a bit.

The pool place recommended this old-timer to come look at the pool. I now have a 50% more powerful pump and a bunch of fixes for $150. The pump alone should be double that. This is the kind of guy who has a chance of restoring my faith in humanity. I just need to vaccuum out the pool tomorrow and I should be good-to-go.

The Bubba's came by for a after-dinner visit. Apparently they're off to Florida for the rest of the week. Bubba had a whole day back before taking the rest of the week off? Must be nice.

The hot tub's back online. The next gusher coming out shouldn't be a stream of water coming from the pipes.
