My phone's not transmitting pictures to my site anymore. I don't know if I broke down the barriers to hard or what. And I don't even know what that means.

All I know is I'll need to actually move my pictures from my camera to get photos on my site. And that will require a undedication to the laziness I've gotten so used to these past years.

Marion Barber just killed my hopes of staying undefeated in my fantasy league. Stupid Dallas Cowboys, but even worse is Caroina's defense just imploding. Hell, their whole team shat the bed.

That time change did nothing for me, nothing! OK, it got me up early so I can be ready for a whole day of sitting on the couch watching football. Though I do need to make some chili for work.

And the Tigers are officially dead. Only a team from Detroit could overachive, manage to disappointment, come back a couple times, but still end up disappointing.

And I've got an early class to boot. Hopefully nobody there knows anything about baseball.

Zero. Down to zero. I'm using the folders to save the messages really worth saving.

OK, I've got to get myself ready for this game. Is it wrong I'm hoping for another rainout?

I was looking at my text messages earlier and I've got over 200. I've had enough! I'm now down to about 35 messages in my inbox.

Wednesday, October 25, 2006

Well, the Tigers game has officially been rained out. This is fun as it really throws off my weekend plans (I had thought Friday would be an off day so I actually have something to do). Worse, I bought another couple boxes of wine and I'm six or seven glasses in and am not feeling much. I hope I didn't buy the non-alcoholic variety.

Today's moving day. There was a big commotion a couple weeks ago about me moving to another cube. That ended, but has reared its ugly head again. Good thing the new spot has sort of a view. I need to sit on some telephone books to see it or crane my neck a lot. Good thing I can get hold of some telephone books.

I missed a lot of NFL games today (though my fantasy team still managed to put up 96 points in another win), but I did get to experience the joys of public transportation. There's a line that pretty goes from my place downtown. And, even more importantly, there's a stop right by the Crown.

Well, let's see if the Tigers can keep up the winning or will blow this lead.

Jager headed out of here a few hours ago and it let me get back to sleep for a bit. Now I'm doing something almost sacrilegious, I'm missing football for almost all day. Though I won't miss the Tigers evening the series up tonight.

Saturday, October 21, 2006

Long day today, up early (8:15) for the cooking class but the getting to bed past 3 am definitely didn't help. Jager and his new Misses are coming to town in a couple hours, so I need to get me some rest. And watch Nebraska blow this game against Texas.

Mac's got a party tonight. I've got a class before hand and I think I've got some friends in from Boston tonight, so it could be an eventful evening.

>So this is the worst tasting shit ever. Short of literal shit. Some cute girl was giving out samples so I bought a bottle a few weeks back. And this stuff isn't cheap, either. Damn cute girls!

I'm actually going to be in the office before 9:30 for a change. Unless I get into an accident or something. Come on, accident!

Monday, October 16, 2006

OK, so no Tiger tickets for me.

Labels: ,

I hear Tigers tickets go on sale later today, I think I'll try to buy some. The getting up to Michigan part might be a tad difficult, but I'll worry about that later.

Amazing things continue in the Motor City, first the Tigers are headed to the World Series and now the Lions have actually won a game. Just crazy!

the desk used to be on that bare wallThis is why I tend to not do anything around my house: I got DSL a few months ago and this necessitated me moving my desk closer to the other side of the wall. JMVC helped me move my chair out of the office then I took over. I figured I could slide my desk with no assistance. First thing, the bottom shelf came off. Next, the side panel started to come off. Now I've got my desk propped up by my filing cabinet. It doesn't really look so bad, but I really shouldn't be doing anything. Ever!

Goodness gracious the Tigers beat the Oakland A's and are going to the World Series. I'm slightly underwhelmed, but that could be because I can barely breathe without coughing. Chilly and Flip-flop were over and got to see me shitting on assorted players who then happened to do something good. A couple games ago it was unwitnessed how my negative behavior got Brandon Inge to have a great day, but today they got to see me single handedly guilt Magglio Ordonez to homer twice. I think I dug out my old Tiger hat at the right time. Yes, it's all me!

Well, it is official: I'm going to Argentina for New Year's. God help another South American country.

I went to this show at the old IBM building, Requiem. One wouldn't normally think this thing my bag, but it was pretty cool. There was people climbing up and down walls so it was like watching pretty ninjas.

And reward for having a good time? Getting up early for my cooking class. Ugh!

Friday, October 13, 2006

I wasn't feeling so well, but that was more convenient so I could see the Tigers game. So far so good. Go Roaster!

Thursday, October 12, 2006

That conference was way too boring so I've come home for a bit. I'll head back for the afternoon session and, more importantly, lunch.

I've got an all day offsite training thingy going on today. This should be no fun. But I'll have my notepad.

Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Man, these Tigers are keeping me on the edge of my seat. That Todd Jones scares the hell out of me. But a win is a win. And up two nothing is better than being down two nothing. Or splitting the games.

Monday, October 09, 2006

Well, long day of traveling, but I'm all set back at my domicile trying not to fall asleep. I was able to see all four of my brothers today so that's quite the accomplishment. I'm a little disappointment I couldn't find any cool Tigers paraphernalia but my wallet is probably safer that way. Now I just need a serious infusion of sleep.

mobile post: drinking around the world, I mean Michigan

I figured I'd kill the last couple hours of my time in the Great Lakes State my drinking some of the Irish black around the local bars (well, and the airport). That's what vacation is all about.

mobile post: damn cheap Guinness

Notice the price on the Guinness. If I had known that, I'd have been there a lot sooner. Like Friday. Instead, I need to run to the airport and catch a flight.

mobile post: long day, short sleep ahead

Well, the Tigers might be wining, but the Lions still stink. Me and S. Money saw that dreadful game before heading down to Fenton to meet up with his brother at this little place called the French Laundry. They had tons of beers, including this crazy beer from Unibroue brewery called Apple-Ephemere. We ran out of time and couldn't hit Joe and Lewie's Penalty Box Sports Tavern (long name, but it's a bar owned by folks associated with the Red Wings). Then we headed and met my brother at his place of work before arriving way too late in Ann Arbor for my other brother's taste. Oh well. Early start tomorrow for my return trip so I better hit it. Not like I can verify my fantasy football scores or anything. Damn no internet!

mobile post: the hits keep on coming

I echo these sentiments! And rumor has it Torre's getting the axe so the Tiger's beat down continues off the field and into the club house.

mobile post: holy chips

I think that's John the Baptist down the bottom of my chip bag. Though they're so good I won't be seeing him pretty soon. If that makes me blasphemous, then so be it.

mobile post: I've been a fan since last week!

Not as pretty as my old jersey from the 1990s, but I'm back on the band wagon. Woo hoo!

mobile post: to S. Money's place we go

Woo hoo, the Tigers beat the dreaded Yankees. The reception was successful and now we're headed back to S. Money's place for some after drinking (and hockey watching). And I have a line on a bottle of absinth!

mobile post: on the run

Jager's married, I've got myself a new the Tigers shirt (let the jinx begin!), but I can't find any other color of weiner dog shirts. Drats!

mobile post: Lutherans, here I come

Havana lattes! No better way to get ready for a wedding than a couple lattes for me and S. Money.

mobile post: kink(s) in my neck waiting

My brother and sister-in-law wonder why I don't stay over more often. Well, notice the size of that pillow and how thin that 'mattress' is. All in all, the worst sleeper sofa ever. I should call my masseuse now.

mobile post: on my way

Well, i've managed to get to Houston a bit early for my next flight. Man, this morning was tough, but why not stay out until 1 am and half-ass pack? There is no other possible solution.

OK, I've done my work and now just need to pack. Or put that off until I wake up. I think the latter.

Thursday, October 05, 2006

So, that's when the alarm's set for tomorrow. And, that is am. I haven't packed, need to do some work, and still plan on going out for some (more) beers. Thank Zeus I have those ironed shirts.

And doesn't this picture look like the cover of a Police album?

Holy shit, the Tigers won a close game on the road in the playoffs. I might have to spend a lot of money and get a ticket for tomorrow's game.

Wednesday, October 04, 2006

No ballgame tonight, but I've got about a half-dozen nicely ironed shirts.

I actually made it into the office today, but really should've stayed home because I actually had to work. At least I'm all prepped up for the game. Let's hope the Tigers throwing a rookie pitcher works out for the better.

Tuesday, October 03, 2006

Well, the Tigers game could've been worse. Not that much worse, but one loss is only one loss.

Labels: ,

Heck, I woke up and was figuring it was near 6 and was going to get up. Then I did get up and realize it was 3:45. And I was wide awake. So I figured I'd do some stuff for this weekend, like get a rental car. Then I realized an important fact: you need a valid driver's license to rent a car. I freaked out for a bit, but then realize I've got until 10/10 before I'm totally screwed. So next Wednesday I'm in trouble, but good enough to go to Michigan.

Monday, October 02, 2006

I decided to work from home today. I won't say I got a lot done, but it sure was good knowing that I only have three more days at the office before heading to Jager's wedding.

Sunday, October 01, 2006

Good to see the Tigers blow five games in a row and lose division. And the Lions lost. Though my fantasy football team is looking in good shape, but reality sports blow right now for me.
