I just finished Point of No Return off the DVR and that movie ain't good. Not good t'all. I had heard decent things but Bridget Fonda isn't believable as a human being let alone the druggie-turned-into-a-killer. It did remind me of how good La Femme Nikita was. Though I can't believe that show's been off the air since 2001. Wow.

Well, I finally got a victory in fantasy football by beating JMVC's. Poor kid, but I had to get it some time. Probably not going to happen the rest of the season, though.

irish coffee
I'm not sure what was put in this but my coffee's turned green. And I certainly do not have the luck of the Irish.
holy lord
You think chicken light? I walked in here starving. Every bite nearly killed me. So much butter and reduced wine just made this so dense. Still, very good. And i'm walking with a bottle of wine.

Man, this Vegas trip is running off the tracks already. My brother's friend didn't get the rate he had reserved so now I might have to pony up for some of the room now. Damn it!
But I am out of here in like 20 minutes. So that's something.

I HAD planned on working a normal day but that was before I chose to not pack this morning and sleep in. Hopefully I can bug out of here around 2 or three. Packing for 48 hours in Las Vegas shouldn't take all that long. Even for me.

I'd put up a pic of the cooked up (and delicous!) ham and cheese casserole but the pic ain't all that appetizing. All these damn pictures have a green tint to them.
Now emjey and I are off to watch some baseball at Sherlock's. I'll mess around with the phone there because I need to be able to take non-green photos in Vegas.

Went to get an eye exam; I couldn't go with the last pair of crappy/cruddy contacts I had until next year. That insurance I have is pretty decent so I decided to get a new pair of glasses, too. Apparently my contacts are/were from the 90s and my glasses seriously outdated. No more!
Now I get to go sign a power of attorney.

Woo hoo, Las Vegas on Thursday. Though I'm coming back on Saturday night. I'm going to be there for 48 hours so I think that'll keep my losses to a minimum.

And the day of miracles continues; I have a new phone, a Nokia n75.
I was given the pleasure of “winning” this at a charity silent auction benefiting Sammy's House. Turns out my boss donated it and I could've got it for free.

Worked from home today and got two things done that I had been putting off. One is painting some trim in my kitchen that's been there, I don't know, at least a year and the other has been put off even longer. Longer!
And I got to have an excellent lunch at Mandola's. I'll have to remember not to drink there because the wine ain't cheap.

Some work getting done around the house today. Some inside work I've been putting off but my handyman is putting in some new lighting in my kitchen and a new fan in my bedroom. Keeping the economy going, just by myself.

I'm forced to watch it off of NBC's web site, but I got it. "So old people have an many rights as young people?" Oh, that Michael Scott.
Well, this blows. I woke up early and figured I'd check out The Office from last week, but the DVR screwed up. Either that or the first episode was rebroadcast. Which I doubt. Wonderful! And now I'm back to bed.

Well, the NHL is back and the Wings are starting off unlike they ended the season, with a win of Anaheim. Too bad I didn't start Hasek in my fantasy league, but I'll take the Wings win over a fantasy victory any day.

The world is about to come to an end: I just came back from McDonald's. I felt like a Big Mac yesterday so figured I'd go grab one today. And instead of fries, I got a spicy chicken sandwich. Then I saw they had sweet tea, so I had to get a 32 oz. one of those. They thought I ordered a combo so they gave me an order of fries (I told them their mistake and they just gave me them). Then that Monopoly game was going on and I won a McFlurry. All of this for $5.20. No wonder America is so fat. And that I'm fat.
Man, my eyes were burning on the way into the office so bad that I almost had to pull over to the side of the road. I was thinking it might be something bad but my boss was saying that it was just rag weed. I wish thinking more like a rag soaked in ether. Either way, it wasn't fun.

Just checked out The Spanish Prisoner. I guess I should say re-checked out as I saw it way back in 1997. Still pretty darn good, though.
