25 days later
It almost looks blue, just not clear blue. My brother will be the one judging that (and my maintenance of it) in a matter of moments. emjey and I have been spending a decent amount of time on it, brushing and backwashing it so hopefully it is better. But this damn thing takes a LOT of time to get ready.and the hits keep on coming
My work has sort of freaked out so I'm not taking off today like planned, but am instead playing phone call nursemaid with work folk while my visiting parents try to occupy themselves. And that usually ends up with them doing stuff around the house. Dad's vacuuming and my mom's ironing. And I just got a call from my vagabond brother and he's in the area code. And that's only half the crap going around these days.

visitors from the sunshine state
So my folks are showing up tomorrow and I just realized they're showing up at 5 PM and not 8 PM. It is only three hours but I had hoped to use those hours for cleaning this dump up. Let's hope I can avoid the bar tonight to at least give myself a chance.

no love!
I had plans tonight in the dirty, dirty south but the weather has turned gloomy with high chances of rain. So I called up Flashman to get some suggestions on where to go as an alternate a few hours ago and the boy hasn't called me back. What's up with that? I've got to get going soon and just picked Guero's Taco Bar as the new plan. Hopefully it all works out or I'm blaming Flashy.
